YouVu Launches New 16:9 Video

With a commitment to continuous improvement YouVu has implemented an upgrade to our video container, ensuring your customers benefit from the 16:9 widescreen experience.

The concept of 16:9 aspect ratio vs 4:3 ratio in the presentation of Video/movie content is simple enough: aspect ratio is simply the fractional relation of the width of a video image compared to its height.

4:3 Aspect Ratio                         16:9 Aspect Ratio

When YouVu launched back in 2007 the decision was made to go with a Video container which had an aspect ratio of 4:3 as this was the most common aspect ratios in home video production at the time (4:3 is also commonly referred to as 4x3, 1.33:1, or standard).
Responding to strong customer demand, YouVu launched its full service solution in 2009, this meant that we now offered professional Video production with a greater level of clarity, quality in production and the need for a technological enhancement and a major upgrade to the YouVu video container was undertaken.

Now 16:9 (16x9, 1.78:1, or wide-screen) potential buyers can view all of our professionally produced Video's in complete clarity on the wide screen format. Whilst all new computer monitors come in 16:9 it should be noted that older computer monitors still operate with a square 4:3 shape, YouVu overcome this by ensuring that our video's still appear within the predefined dimensions of a YouVu advertisement.

It is also pertinent to point out that with the 16:9 native aspect ratio of most HD TV's it will not be long before your home television becomes your browsing and viewing platform.

YouVu is ready for the next evolution.
