Sluggish Property Market No Barrier for Pennant Hills Family - Home Sold in Record Time
Local resident Glen Earl-Peacock and his real estate agent have proven that house sales aren’t completely dependent on market forces – much of it is about marketing.
Earlier this year, the Earl-Peacock family’s five-bedroom home in West Pennant Hills sat on the market for four months, with very little interest from buyers. When Mr Earl-Peacock switched to a new real estate agency – which used new web-based advertising-tool YouVu (www.youvu.com.au) – his house sold in just 10 days.
“When Ray White took over from the previous agency, I was surprised our house sold so quickly – even with the decline in the property market,” Mr Earl-Peacock said. “We hadn’t had many offers before that.
“The house sold for $1.212 million. Exactly what we’d hoped for,” he added.
Ray White Real Estate Agent Damien Clarke says YouVu was a major contributor to the sale.
“The results prove that buying and selling property is about marketing, not the market,” he said.
The use of technologies such as YouVu differentiates properties from others on the market and attracts more buyers – a key factor enabling such a quick sale.
Mr Clarke said the detail YouVu offered gave them the upper hand in the sale of the property.
“In a sluggish market like this, you need to pump up the marketing,” he says. “Anyone can use YouVu – not just agents.”
